How quality is assessed: Individual dragons within each clutch are ranked for growth and color intensity.

With collectors or hold back quality here, for example, you get a dragon in the top 2 or 3 in terms of size and color for his or her clutch. That means your dragon ranks in the group that is the creme of the crop.

How we rank the quality of our dragons:

1. Pet Quality - These dragons are good for first time owners though they are not the richest color or biggest size. Price: $145

2. Breeder Quality - The majority of juveniles in any clutch will fall into this category. The dragons are average in size, vigor and color for the clutch, growing normally and expected to reach a good size. Most are full body color as juveniles. This is a good choice for those who might want to breed in the future.

3. Hold Back Quality - These are intensely colored dragons and rank in the top 2 or 3 dragons in the clutch in terms of size and vigor. From this group we select the dragons for our future breeding projects. Price: $295

All prices are for juveniles and include double walled shipping boxes (Styrofoam and cardboard) and heat packs for shipping in cold weather.

* 2008 BREEDING PROJECT *

For the past two years, we have been working on an interesting project. Our goal is to see if eye color can be influenced in the same way that color morphs and their variations have been. This year, we will be identifying the breeders for you that display golden eyes. It will be interesting to see if and how this trait is manifested in the offspring. Eye color and pattern anomalies seem to be two areas of bearded dragon breeding that are relatively unexplored and may hold infinite possibilities...

Here is a representative sampling of 2008 breeders.

FIRE MORPHS

"Ferrari," a top of the line red-orange, sleek and racy, just like his namesake. *

"Tempest" (Hypo Red/Blood/Redflame), a stunning female displaying a deep blue-red, full body coloration. We are expecting pure fireworks from her pairing to "Ferrari."

Hypo Red x Redflame - "Fiona" is an amazing hypo red addition. Her offspring with Citrus male, "Ramses" was an outstanding display in late 2007. This year, we will repeate the breeding by popular request.

Redflame x Hypo Red - This is "Omega," a gorgeous deep orange-red patternless male who throws awesome size and incredible color intensity.

"Vulcan" is the brother to Henna (below), a stunning full body red paired to "Pele (Pay-Lay)" for early 2008. This pair should produce extreme reds and red/oranges. Gorgeous!

"Henna" - This awesome female is pure full body Red/ Orange with a Reverse (white) pattern. She is an outcross from a Chris Allen female (Scar /Flame). This year she is paired with Citrus x Leucistic male "Striker." This pair should produce offspring with a ton of potential for unique characteristics.

"Pele," (Pay-Lay) is named after the Volcano goddess of the Hawaiian Islands. "Pele" is a gorgeous and unusual dragon. She is a rare Super Orange with full body color. Her eyes display a deep red starburst. "Pele" has been paired to "Vulcan" for early 2008. We are anxiously awaiting the pair's first clutch.

Super Citrus male, "Polaris" is one of our top 5 Citrus dragons for 2008. We are incredibly lucky to have produced "Polaris," with his Super Citrus color, awesome confirmation and unique golden eyes. He is paired with visual leucistic, "Cloud" for early 2008. We expect amazing visual Citrus, Super Citrus and possibly Leucistics from this pairing with clutches due to hatch beginning in February.

Luminous "Luna," our Super Citrus goddess of the Moon. "Luna" is a stunningly brilliant female. She has laid her first clutch with Citrus/Leucistic male, "Thor." Super Citrus and Citrus expected from this outstanding pair.

100% Citrus female "Nova," an amazing dragon whose Citrus x Leucistic and 100% Citrus offsping in 2007 has been second to none.

"Spellbinder" is one of our most beautiful dragons. She is a stunning Super Citrus female named for a clear lemon lime award-winning daffodil.

"Merlin," a jaw-dropping 100% Citrus male with full Citrus beard and throat. With outsanding confirmation and noticeably golden eyes, "Merlin" displays Super Citrus characteristics and is a perfect example of the Citrus Standard of Excellence. He is paired with several females for 2008.

100% Citrus female, "Monet" has superb confirmation, a gorgeous face and an amazing persona. A real camera star, "Monet" is one of the females paired with "Merlin" for early 2008 clutches. This should be great pairing.

"Mia" is a gorgeous 100% Citrus female. She is producing clutches with Super Citrus, "Merlin." The offspring from this pair should be brilliant!!!

"Ra," one of the cornerstone 100% Citrus Breeders in our program, from "Goliath" x "Elli." Named after the Egyptian god of the Sun, "Ra's" offsping have been consistantly brilliant with "Super" Citrus traits. Coming out of bruamtion soon...

Super Citrus female, "Radiance" graces our program this year. She will be paired to Super Citrus male, "Photon." We are anxiously awaiting her first clutch.

100% Citrus Male "Phantom," a real knock-out who has been an important part of the Citrus breeding projects. Currently taking a well-deserved siesta...

100% Citrus female, "Amelia," blew us away with her offspring in 2007. "Amelia" is from "Dune's" line and will no doubt be a part of our program in late 2008. Watch for updates!

Look at this Super Citrus male, "Photon!" His color is truly atomic!!! His first round of pics were taken with a highlighter. He is the first dragon to be produced who was brighter than the highlighter!!! His first pairing this year is with Super Citrus female, "Radiance." Beautiful.

100% Citrus male "Ramses" has proven his worth in 2007 when paired to 100% Citrus and Red female, "Fiona." "Ramses" will be a mid-season breeder in 2008.

Reptile Magazine's "Breeder's Choice" winner, "Goliath." This extraordinary 100% Citrus male truly glows in lemon lime both night and day, a "super" trait.

Visual Citrus female (Citrus x Leucistic) "Athena," a full body bright pastel lemon dragon with the Citrus' dragons' lavendar sidebars. A real beauty.

Citrus "Thor" is one big male. He has gorgeous confirmation and a beauiful brilliant pastel lemon color. "Thor's" first clutch from Super Citrus "Luna" is due in May. Knock-out Citrus and Super Citrus expected!!!

Visual Citrus male, "Striker" is a stunning male from Leucistic male, "Ash" x 100% Citrus female, "Mistaya." His gorgeous pastel Citrus color and amazing confirmation will provide awesome offspring with eye-popping color. He is paired to Red female, "Henna" and gorgeous visual Snow female, "Spirit."

100% Citrus x Leucistic female, "Yindi." Yindi is the word for the Sun in the language of the Aboriginise tribes of Australia. A fitting name for "Yindi's" brilliant yellow! "Yindi's" is paired and we are awaiting her first clutch. Watch for updates!!!

*The term, 'Chris Allen Red' refers to a bloodline. This bloodline was comprised of all available Reds at that time including Redflames and Bloods, as well as Sandfire's reds and hypomelanistic individuals. This colony was then selectively bred for color by former breeder, Chris Allen. When former breeder, Sunshine Dragons purchased the colony, the line was marketed as Chris Allen Reds.

ICE MORPHS

Snow female, "Spirit" is everything we could want in a Snow. Her color is pristine white and her confirmation perfect. She is paired with "Striker" to produce Snows, Hypo Snows and possibly leucistics.

Snow female, "Chablis (Sha-blee)." "Chablis" is an exceptionally white female with the opal-esque coloration of "Storm." She is currently paired to Citrus male, "Thor" for Super Citrus, Citrus and Snow offspring!!!

Leucistic "Storm," a gorgeous opal-esque white female. Storm displays the clear nails and black eyes which characterize of a superior quality leucistic dragon. "Storm" is in brumation and will join our breeding program in mid-2008.

Leucistics - "Griffin" is an interesting outcross to our line. His body is pure white with clear nails but he also sports an unusual pastel yellow head.

This is gorgeous Hypo Snow female "Cloud." She looks a lot like her Leucistic Mother, "Storm" and displays clear nails. Her first clutch threw knock-out Super Citrus and beautiful Snows.

"Blizzard" is a very light, huge Snow male who is currently taking a siesta.

Leucistics, Snows and Hypo Snow Dragons - Generally, the main difference between Leucistics and Snows is the eye color and in the case of standard Snows (versus Hypo Snows), nail color.

PAYMENT & SHIPPING

We ship overnight through UPS Next Day Air, depending on the weather and your location. During cold weather, heat packs are included and enclosed within the box to keep your dragon warm. In general, shipping rates run between $30 - $50 and will be added to your total order upon your approval. We do not charge a handling fee. We pass along the rate as given by UPS. Multiple dragons can be shipped together in the same shipping box for a one-dragon rate. UPS charges per box so, in this way, you can save significantly on shipping costs. We ship Monday - Thursday in the early evening. In most areas of the US, you will receive your new dragon by the next morning.

For other international shipments, we have a minimum order of $1,000 and ship through our US broker. Please email for details.

GUARANTEE

We guarantee that our dragons are healthy and eating well from hatching to the day of shipment. When you receive your dragon(s), if it is not what you wanted, or you are disappointed in any way, contact us immediately for a refund. Return the dragon to us in good health immediately and we will provide you with a refund minus shipping costs.

While this situation is extremely rare, if the worst should happen and the dragon does not survive the shipment to your door by UPS regular delivery schedule, we will send you a replacement. If no replacement is available, as with collectors quality, one-of-a-kind dragons, we will refund your purchase minus shipping costs.

While we make every effort to accurately sex dragons, gender cannot be guaranteed.

It is up to us to raise healthy beautiful bearded dragons. It is up to you to educate yourself on the care of these amazing reptiles and to notify us immediately if something isn't right. Many times, a minor adjustment in temperature or other simple husbandry aspect corrects the issue of a new owner's concern. Do not wait. One day can make the difference between success and failure in creatures that are 7 inches long and bask at relatively high temperatures.

If you have a question or concern about eating, drinking or anything else, contact us immediately. Do not assume we will check caller ID or that we have your phone number at our fingertips. We receive many calls each day. If you receive voicemail, leave your phone number twice in case your message breaks up. Otherwise, we cannot return your call. We offer our recommendations to many people freely, but we ask that you do your part in making your new reptile purchase a success.

Remember to call or email us with your questions on feeding and husbandry until all belly marks, which are signs of stress, disappear and your dragon is adjusting to its new environment. Eating and drinking are very important indicators that all is well and your new dragon is adjusting in his or her new home (see Care Sheet).
